Win the War Against Germs with Lysol

Z.E.N will be starting Kindergarten in about 2 weeks and while he hasn’t been sick all summer, I know that he will be in contact with lots of other kids so, the risk of him getting sick will be pretty high. I will of course at least try to fight this, and my weapon of choice is Lysol®. Lysol® has always been a staple in my household, and I recently received a Lysol® No-Touch Hand Soap System to review.

IMGP1600 The U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), advises that hand washing is probably one of the most important and effective methods of preventing the spread of germs and infection, and Lysol’s no touch hand soap system makes hand washing sooo easy. All you have to do is stick your hand under the nozzle and just like that it dispenses a small amount of antibacterial soap into your hands, which kills 99.9% of bacteria. It definitely helps to reduce germs by eliminating the need to touch the dispenser with your dirty hands. I really like the simplicity of it and Z.E.N. absolutely loves it. I placed the touchless soap dispenser in my bathroom and he always wants to wash his hands now, which is a good thing!

For more information on handwashing and stopping the spread of germs, be sure to visit the Lysol® website where you will find some great Handwashing Tips and a really useful Handwashing Poster that you can download and print on their website.

This hands free soap dispenser is pretty small in size so it’s very portable, you can move it from the kitchen to the bathroom or vice versa. But instead of doing all that, I think I will invest in a few more, one for the kitchen and one for my second bathroom. The starter kit I received included a dispenser, one Aloe Vera & Vitamin E with Moisturizers hand soap refill, and four AA batteries. The refills are also available in the following different scents: Refreshing Grapefruit Essence and Cleansing Green Tea & Ginger, and Soothing Cucumber Splash.

Lysol® also sent me a package of Lysol® Dual Action Disinfecting Wipes . While I have IMGP1581 used disinfectant wipes before, I thought these would be the same. Boy was I wrong! These wipes are really strong and feature two sides, one side is rough and is designed for scrubbing tough messes and the other side is designed for wiping. I was really able to put the scrubby side to work in both my kitchen and my bathroom. It worked great in my bathtub. The dual action wipes also kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria including the Pandemic 2009 H1N1 Influenza A.

Don’t forget to visit the Lysol® Website and to connect with them on Facebook where you’ll find ton of germ fighting tips.

I would put it in the kitchen. When baking my hands often get coated in food so this would help keep me from getting food all over the soap pump.
