I’m A Hormel Foods Extended Family Blogger

Blogger Badge.FINAL Have you noticed the new badge on my sidebar?  Well, I am proud to announce that I was recently selected to be a Hormel Foods Extended Family Blogger!  I’m so excited!  As many of you know, Philip does a lot of the cooking around here.  He’s really great with whipping up delicious meals in no time flat.  He makes it look so effortless! While I can cook up great meals as well, I can’t whip up a meal as easily as he does, so one of my personal goals has been to do a little more cooking so that I can become more confident in the kitchen. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to accomplish that goal through this program.

First a little about Hormel.

Hormel Foods Corporation makes and markets high-quality foods. The brand name food and meat products are ham, bacon, sausages, franks, canned luncheon meats, hash, stews, chilis and meat spreads. This list also includes microwaveable entrees and salsas that are also manufactured by Hormel. Hormel Foods Corporation is very well established and has been in business for 117 years.

The Hormel product line is very extensive and includes:

The founder, George A. Hormel, established a commitment to quality that is still practiced today. Mr. Hormel’s vision is kept intact because Hormel Foods still manufactures products that retain quality and flavor. Hormel Foods creates products that answer the culture of today with innovative products.

Prior to joining the Extended Family Blogger program, I was not aware that Hormel had such an extensive product line.  Now that I know, I can’t wait to try more of their products.

As a member of  Hormel’s “Extended Family” I hope to offer you a behind the scenes look into Hormel’s test kitchen.  I will also be sharing some great Hormel recipes, Hormel foods coupons, ideas for entertaining and food prep tips. Stay tuned!
