Well, New York Fashion Week is officially over and I was thrilled that I got invited to a few fashion week related events. You already heard about my shopping challenge, but I forgot to let you all know about my experience at Duane Reade’s Fashion Night Out.
I, along with 5 of my fellow Duane Reade VIP bloggers were given the opportunity to get a sneak preview and partake in all of the services being offered prior to the event being opened to the public.
Conair had stylists there doing hair curl and straightening. It was so humid that day so my hair really needed a touchup.
My hair was done by Eva and she used an infinite pro professional tourmaline ceramic curling iron on my hair. Eva mentioned that Tourmaline Ceramic Technology really helps to protect hair against damage. I had just gotten a haircut a few days prior and was not used to styling it so she also gave me a few styling tips, that will definitely come in handy.
After getting my hair, I got my makeup done using Maybelline products.
The lovely Joi, applied did a great job and gave me some great eye makeup tips. I had mentioned to her that since I wore glasses, I didn’t really wear much eye makeup and wondered if it would even make a difference. She replied that eye makeup would absolutely work for people who were glasses. She stated that it wearing it would really accentuate the eyes and make them “pop”.
Next but not least, I got my nails done.
My nails were done using Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips.
It was a fun evening.
