Philip is obsessed with odor control. He is constantly on the lookout for products that can make our home smell better and create a healthier environment for our family. He also to fry fish. Needless to say, frying fish tends to leave a lingering odor that takes forever to go away. With that said, I think he’s tried just about every air freshener on the planet. Air fresheners help a little bit, but just tend to mask odors and never really rid of them, so we were ready to try something new.
I never really gave air filters much thought until Philip noticed them in Lowes one day. We always purchase Filtrete Filters by 3M because they’re just about always offering coupons and rebates for purchase and who doesn’t like a good deal? Their filters work pretty well too!
We’ve always purchased the regular filters in the past and somehow never noticed the odor reduction filters. We didn’t buy them that day, because they seemed to be a little on the pricey side, but soon afterwards, I was offered a chance to review the very same Odor Reduction Filtrete Filter. How’s that for luck! Of course I jumped at the chance, and let me tell you, I wish we had tried this long ago! This is something that is so simple to do but has a great effect on your home. The first visible difference I saw was in the amount of dust. We live in an older home and it tends to get dusty fast, but the filter seems to have reduced the amount of dust a bit. I also noticed that odors after cooking did not linger around as long. The house would smell fresh again in no time.
The Home Odor Reduction Filters by 3M have a carbon filter that works hard at removing odors, such as pets, smoke, cooking, and mildew, in the home. The filter also works to remove allergens such as pet dander, smoke, dust, bacteria, and viruses, creating a healthier and cleaner home environment. Each filter lasts up to three months.
With all of these great benefits, it is easy to see that the Odor Reduction Filter would work great for any household. The part I love best is that all I have to do it change out the filter and then it does the rest of the work!
