There are so many great causes to celebrate this month. I especially love that it’s American heart month, bake for family fun month, library lovers’ month and hot breakfast month. Now I just have to think of some ways to celebrate some of these wonderful causes.

While I would like to celebrate “spunky old broads” month, I don’t think I’m there yet…lol! Honestly out of all these causes, what is near and dear to my heart is spay/neuter month. I dare anyone to spend one afternoon in an animal shelter and tell me this initiative isn’t important.

I agree that it is a very important initiative. Just today, I met my friends new dog that was rescued from a research facility where they used dogs to test prescription medicines. She’s had him fora week and it’s been an adjustment because (1) he’s not used to feeling carpet, grass or anything soft under his feet because he’s used to cold concrete and (2) he doesn’t bark or make any sounds. We’re guessing it’s because the poor dogs were probably punished for it at the facility
