Checked out the Charlottesville ones – and Washington, DC — There are some here that I never thought of…and which seem like fun!

This reminds me that I need to check out to see if there is anything going on in my area for the summer. The closest state that is listed that I live near to is Virginia, so I’ll check those out.

Such an awesome list! I’m going to check out the Harrisburg one since that’s closest to me. It’s always nice to find some hidden treasures close to home.

Lots of posts for Ohio! It’s fun to find the things that I’ve missed in my Mansfield, Ohio posts. And Mt. Vernon and Cincy aren’t too far from here either!

Bookmarked! I love a list like this, and some of these places I travel to repeatedly. I have a group going to Niagara Falls in August – that comes in really handy. Great post.

What an awesome list! Staycations are by far the way to go in the economy these days! We live in Watkins Glen NY ( a tourist town) and I really need to just pretend to be a tourist for a day or a weekend and take in all there is to offer!

I’m planning on doing the same thing here in NJ and also in NYC. Although I was born and raised in NYC, there are a lot of great landmarks that I have never visited!

I’m a little far from SE MN, but I’ve found lots of similar free or cheap activities in the cities. This totally got me thinking outside the box for fun family day trips this summer!

Only 2 PA spots! Then again where I live it’s not too budget friendly being that I live in between 2 major ski resorts!!
Awesome post to save for future reference though! Husband travels a lot during the summer months for his job!
